
Pitino Previews Saturday's BIG EAST Home Game Against Syracuse

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino and junior forward Juan Palacios met with members of the media on Friday to preview Saturday's BIG EAST home game against Syracuse. The Cards and Orange will meet at 7 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
The Cards enter Saturday's game at 14-6 overall and 4-2 in the BIG EAST following a 68-54 home win over Connecticut on Monday. Junior David Padgett had his fifth career double-double with 19 points and a season-high 11 rebounds to lead the way for the UofL, which has won nine of its last 11 overall.
Syracuse, which has won six of its last eight, enters the game at 15-5 overall and 4-2 in the BIG EAST after a 64-60 loss at St. John's on Jan. 21. Eric Devendorf led the way for the Orange with 23 points.
