
Pitino Previews Monday's BIG EAST Home Game with UConn

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino met with members of the media on Sunday to preview Monday's BIG EAST home game against Connecticut. The Cards and Huskies will meet at 7 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
The Cards enter the game at 13-6 overall and 3-2 in the BIG EAST following 59-50 road win at DePaul on Saturday. Junior forward Juan Palacios, in his most extensive action in the last six games after recovering from a neck and shoulder strain, scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds in UofL's eighth in its last 10 outings.
UConn enters Monday's game at 13-5 overall and 2-3 in the BIG EAST following a 77-73 non-conference loss to Indiana on Saturday. Stanley Robinson (21 points, nine rebounds) and Jeff Adrien (15 points, 12 rebounds) led the Huskies in the loss.
"White Out" at Freedom Hall: University of Louisville men's basketball fans are encouraged to wear white for the Cardinals' game against Connecticut in an effort to "White Out" Freedom Hall. ESPN will televise the Big Monday contest.
