LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville football head coach Bobby Petrino, senior defensive tackle Amobi Okoye and sophomore offensive lineman George Bussey met with members of the media on Monday to review the Cards' 31-7 win over Miami and the upcoming road game at Big XII foe Kansas State. The Cards and Wildcats will meet on Saturday at Noon ET at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kan., and the game will be televised nationally by Fox Sports Net.
The Cards improved to 3-0 on the season after dominating the Hurricanes on Saturday afternoon in front of 42,704 fans, the largest crowd in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium history, while Kansas State moved to 3-0 with a 23-7 home win over Marshall. Following the Kansas State game, UofL will have its first bye week of the season before traveling to Nashville, Tenn., to face Middle Tennessee on Oct. 6 on ESPN.
Cards Ranked Eighth, Ninth in the Nation: UofL enters this week's game against Kansas State ranked eighth in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, and ninth in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
