Robyn White won her doubles match and then clinched the win with a victory at No. 3 singles.

After dropping the doubles point, the University of Louisville women's tennis team came back to beat Michigan State when No. 3 singles player, Robyn White, clinched the match with the fourth win for the Cardinals Sunday afternoon in East Lansing, Michigan.

"It was just a great win for us. Anytime you beat a Big Ten team on the road it is an accomplishment," said Greg Davis, U of L head coach.

The Cardinals dropped the doubles point, even though the potent pair of Maria Klokotzky and Robyn White took the No. 1 doubles, winning 9-8. Natalia Baez and Stephania Velazquez were dropped 8-2 at No. 2 by MSU's Stephanie Kebler and Jessica Baron. U of L's steady pair of Natalie Laszkowski and Suzanna Gracanin battled Aglaya Kokurina and Pascale Schnitzer before falling 8-6.

"We were down 1-0 after the doubles and had our backs up against the wall. Credit my team for battling and fighting back, especially from singles one through four. They just did a tremendous job," said Davis.

Klokotzky pulled off a win against Bader when she squeaked out a 7-5 win in the first set and then got upended 6-1 in the second. She regrouped and took the third set 6-3. Bianca Gorbea handled Schnitzer 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2. At No. 4, Suzanna Gracanin pulled out a nice 6-3, 6-3 win to tie the match at three. With losses at No. 5 and No. 6, it fell to White to unknot the score. The sophomore from Louisville won the first set 6-4 but Jessica Baron came back to take it into the tiebreaker. The two tied at six apiece but White reeled off two straight to take the set and match.
