
Women's Tennis Blanks Southeast Missouri State

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The No. 75-ranked University of Louisville women's tennis team defeated Southeast Missouri State in all six singles matches and won the doubles point, winning 7-0 to increas its overall season record to 7-1, Friday afternoon in the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
"We played very well," said U of L Head Coach Greg Davis. "Our goal is to play at a high level every match and to play to our ability. The team is showing more maturity each match."
Maria Klokotzy and Robyn White won the No. 1 doubles, 8-2. Bianca Gorbea and Stephania Velazquez took the No. 2 doubles, 8-1, and Suzanna Gracanin and Natalie Laszkowski defeated Kimmy Anderson and Morgan Kemp at No. 3 in perfect fashion, 8-0.
The Cardinals were just as impressive in all six singles matches, winning each match in straight sets. White took the No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2. Gorbea won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 followed by Gracanin winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3. Laszkowski continued the Cards winning ways, defeating Juliana Negosek at No. 4, 6-1-6-1. Velazquez was perfect at No. 5, winning 6-0, 6-0, and Baez defeated Morgan Kemp at No. 6, 6-0, 6-1.
U of L returns to action against Cincinnati at 7 p.m. and then again Sunday, February 12 at 4:00 p.m. in Bass-Rudd against Southern Mississippi.
