
Women's Tennis Upends Miami 7-0

The University of Louisville women's tennis team finished off Miami of Ohio 7-0 Sunday afternoon as part of a doubleheader in the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
U of L took the doubles point with relative ease. Maria Klokotsky and Robyn White stayed undefeated this weekend with an 8-2 win over Katrina Lomidze and Linda Jirouskova at No. 1. The freshman tandem of Natalia Baez and Bianca Gorbea handled Remy Swain and Maura Trauenicht 8-5 at No. 2. The No. 3 pair of Natalie Laszkowski and Suzanna Gracanin made it a sweep with an 8-5 win.
Riding the momentum in singles, Klokotzky and White won at No. 1 and No. 2 easily. Gorbea held off Jirouskova 4-6, 6-1, (10-7). Gracanin won easily at No. 4 over Kelly Douple 6-0, 6-0. And Laszkowski and Baez won at No. 5 and No. 6 respectively, both in straight sets.
