LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino and junior guard Brandon Jenkins met with members of the media on Tuesday to preview the Cardinals' BIG EAST Conference home game against DePaul on Wednesday at Freedom Hall. The game will tip off at 9 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPNU.
U of L (16-9, 4-8) returns to Freedom Hall following a 79-66 loss at Syracuse last Saturday before a crowd of 31,190, the largest for an NCAA game this season. A season-high 26-of-30 free throws made (.867) for the Cardinals was not enough to offset their worst effort from the field this year (16-of-53, 30.2 percent).
The Blue Demons are 10-13 overall and 3-9 in the BIG EAST following a 52-48 victory at St. John's on Feb. 18.
