LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino and freshman guard Andre McGee met with members of the media on Thursday to preview the Cardinals' BIG EAST Conference road game against Syracuse on Saturday at the Carrier Dome. The game will tip off at 9 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPN as the centerpiece to ESPN's College Gameday.
In its last outing, Louisville (16-8, 4-7) beat USF 57-54 in Freedom Hall last Saturday as the Cards' defense held the Bulls without a field goal over the final nine minutes of play. This week's game with Syracuse will be the second appearance of the season for the Cards in ESPN's marquee, Saturday night game.
Syracuse is 17-7 overall and 5-6 in the BIG EAST following Wednesday night's 82-65 home loss to Cincinnati.
