LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville has determined general procedures for its ticketing process when the Cardinals discover its bowl selection on Sunday.
U of L season ticket holders were provided the opportunity to pre-order tickets to each of the possible bowl sites for the Cardinals. Those orders and subsequent changes were finalized on Friday. Those orders will be fulfilled with the tickets and additional site specific information sent via UPS overnight shipping to those pre-orders in mid-December.
Once the Cardinals' bowl site is determined and if tickets are available, the most efficient way to purchase available tickets will be through a form which will be on the U of L web site following the announcement at www.UofLsports.com. It is important for Cardinal fans to purchase tickets through the U of L ticket office so the support of U of L fans is properly reflected to bowl representatives, to help U of L meet its post-season financial commitments, and to gain the best possible seats within the Cards' fan section.
If tickets are available, ticket orders will also be accepted by telephone with a VISA or MasterCard by calling the U of L ticket office at (502) 852-5151 or 852-5863. Tickets may also be purchased in person at U of L's campus ticket offices located near Gate 2 of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium or on the third floor of the Student Activities Center
The U of L ticket office will offer expanded phone service for Cardinal fans from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday (Dec. 4-6). Normal operating hours for the U of L ticket office beyond that point are weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Once the Cardinals' bowl is determined, travel packages will be available through Champion Sports Tours. Fans may sign up by calling (812) 206-5282, toll free at 1-866-995-7444, or through the internet at www.championsportstours.com. Pre-registration is already being accepted online at www.championsportstours.com/football/uofl/bowl-pre-reg.html. The office will be open from from 8-10 p.m. on Sunday evening for phone inquiries.
Most bowls will offer for purpose a bowl-specific patch, which provides discounts at area businesses surrounding the bowl. Details for purchasing the patch will be provided at a later date.
Additional details will be provided once the Cardinals' bowl destination is determined.
