
Petrino Previews Thursday's Showdown at Undefeated Rutgers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville football head coach Bobby Petrino and junior quarterback Brian Brohm met with members of the media on Monday to preview the upcoming BIG EAST road showdown with unbeaten Rutgers. The No. 3 Cards and No. 14 Scarlet Knights will meet on Thursday at 7:47 p.m. ET at Rutgers Stadium and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
The Cards enter the game at 8-0 overall and 3-0 in BIG EAST play after a 44-34 home win over then-No. 3 West Virginia last Thursday, while the Scarlet Knighs are 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference following their 24-13 win over Connecticut on Oct. 28.
Cards Ranked Third in the BCS, Third and Fourth in the Polls: UofL enters the Rutgers game ranked third in the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) standings released on Nov. 5. The Cards are ranked third in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll and the Harris Interactive Poll, and fourth in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
UofL-USF Game on Nov. 18 Expected to be a Night Game: The kickoff time for the Cards' Nov. 18 home tilt with USF is likely to be at either 7 p.m. or 7:45 p.m. ET and will be determined following this weekend's games. The game will also likely be televised by one of the ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU).
