
Pitino Previews Saturday's Season-Opener Against Northwestern State

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino and sophomore guard Andre McGee met with members of the media on Friday to preview the upcoming regular-season opener against Northwestern State. The Cards and Demons will meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall and the game will be televised by WHAS-TV.
While the Cards are opening the season on Saturday, Northwestern State enters the game with a 1-1 record after a close 79-76 loss at Oklahoma State on Wednesday. The Demons, which beat Iowa in the first round of the 2006 NCAA Tournament, opened the season with an 88-71 win over Utah State on Nov. 10.
