
Petrino Previews Friday's Road Game Against Middle Tennessee

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville football head coach Bobby Petrino, senior cornerback Gavin Smart and sophomore wide receiver Mario Urrutia met with members of the media on Monday to preview the Cards' upcoming road game against Middle Tennessee. The Cards and Blue Raiders will meet on Friday at 8 p.m. ET at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn., and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
In their last outing, the Cards improved to 4-0 on the season with a 24-6 road win at Kansas State on Sept. 23, while MTSU improved to 3-2 with a 35-0 win at North Texas on Saturday.
Game Time for UofL-Cincinnati Set for 3:30 p.m. ET: Following the MTSU game, the Cards will return home to open BIG EAST Conference play against Cincinnati on Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The Homecoming game will be televised nationally by ESPNU.
Cards Ranked Eighth in the Nation: UofL enters this week's game against Middle Tennessee ranked eighth in both the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25 Poll.
