LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's basketball program officially opened the 2006-07 season on Wednesday by hosting its annual media day activities at Cardinal Arena on the U of L campus. Head coach Rick Pitino and the Cardinal players met with reporters to preview the upcoming season, U of L's second as a member of the BIG EAST Conference.
The Cardinals will host a Red-White intrasquad scrimmage on Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. ET at Cardinal Arena. U of L will open the exhibition season on Nov. 1 against Georgetown College at 7 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall and will open regular-season play on Nov. 18 at home against Northwestern State.
