
Fans Invited to Attend ESPN Gameday Telecast

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - ESPN's College Gameday will make its debut for the 2005-06 college basketball season in Freedom Hall with Louisville's game against Connecticut as the centerpiece for the telecast on Saturday, Jan. 21.
Doors will open to Freedom Hall at 9:15 a.m. ET Saturday morning for fans to attend the event. It is open to the public and there will be a specific area reserved for U of L students. Free donuts and beverages will be available. Entertainment will be provided within the arena from 10-11 a.m. and the ESPN College Gameday show will air live from 11 a.m. ET until noon. There is no parking fee at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center for attending the morning event. The arena will be cleared immediately following the completion of the program at noon.
The show will also air live in the evening from 8-9 p.m. ET prior to the game. U of L fans with tickets to the game that evening are encouraged to arrive early for the live telecast. Doors to Freedom Hall will open at 7:30 p.m. ET for the sold-out contest.
The set, which will be manned by Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and reporter Andy Katz, will be located within Freedom Hall at the top of section 116 in the northwest corner of the arena.
The Cardinals will also be part of another ESPN College Gameday later this season when the show is live at Syracuse on Feb. 18 when U of L plays there. Louisville beat Memphis 53-44 last season (2/26/06) in a Gameday telecast at Memphis.
