- Sophomore David Padgett missed a free throw in the first half to halt his streak of consecutive free throws made at 22 over the last nine games.
- The Cardinals nailed seven straight three-point field goals to open the game before Juan Palacios missed the first of the game in the second half.
- Freshman forward Terrance Williams reached a new career-high with 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 three-point field goals. Williams previous high was 16 points in a win over the College of Charleston on 12/21/05.
- The Cardinals shot a season-best 57.1 from behind the three-point line. Louisville hit 8-of-14 from behind the arc, the 11th time this season that Louisville hit seven or more three pointers in a game.
- The Cardinals suffered their first loss of the season when holding the opposition to under 70 points in a game. Louisville is now 12-1 this season and 83-11 under head coach Rick Pitino.
- Louisville held Pittsburgh to 37.7 percent shooting from the filed, just the third time that Pitt was held to lower than 40.0 percent from the floor.
- The Cardinals were out-rebounded, 39-34, marking just the sixth time in 16 games that Louisville lost the battle on the boards.
