
Women's Golf Finishes 7th at Papa John's Collegiate

The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a 300 in the final round of the Papa John's Collegiate in Miami, Fla. Louisville finished seventh with a final score of 920. Host Miami won the tournament with a score of 883. East Carolina finished second with a score of 902 and Virginia finished third with a score of 907.
"I was please with our performance today," said head coach Kelly Meyers. "We did a good job at learning from the first two days and coming back for a solid final round. We are looking forward to our next tournament in the Pinehurst Challenge."
Sophomore Adrienne White shot a 75 in the final round to finished tied at 15th with a score of 227. Miami's Jose Shinn shot a 67 in the final round to win medalist honors with a score of 213.
Freshman Jenny Calkins shot a collegiate low round of 71 to finish tied for 24th with a score of 232. Senior Meghan Little finished tied at 24th after shooting a 78 in the final round. Elly Leonard also finished tied at 24th with a score of 232. Leonard finished the day shooting a 79. Sophomore Cristina Gonzalez finished the day with a collegiate low round of 76 to finish 48th with a score of 240.
The Cardinals will be back in action on March 6 at the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C.
