JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of Louisville football team went through its second of four workouts in preparation for Monday's Toyota Gator Bowl appearance against 12th-ranked Virginia Tech at Alltel Stadium.
The Cardinals practiced for two hours at the University of North Florida before ending the day with the offense and defense lifting weights.
The first team offense under the direction of Hunter Cantwell was sharp moving the ball and Cantwell was spreading the ball around to numerous receivers. Center Eric Wood missed practice with the flu, but will be back at practice on Friday.
The Cardinals went to see a movie as a team Thursday night before getting ready for their final long workout on Friday at 10 a.m. Louisville will work out again for two hours before conducting a short practice on Saturday.
The Cards and Hokies will kick off at 12:30 p.m. ET on Jan. 2 and the game will be televised nationally by NBC.
