- Louisville's 6-0 record is its best to open the season since 1996-97, when the Cardinals won their first 10 en route to a 26-7 season and the Elite Eight.
- Louisville improved to 34-2 under head coach Rick Pitino in the month of December.
- Senior guard Taquan Dean has hit four or more three-point field goals in his last four games. He has connected on (21-of-45, 46.7 pct.) during that span. He entered the game leading the BIG EAST Conference in three-point field goals per game at 4.2.
- Dean led the Cardinals in scoring with 21 points, the fourth straight game that Dean has paced the Cardinals. Dean has scored more than 20 in all four games and is averaging 24.3 ppg. during that span.
