LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville football head coach Bobby Petrino, senior defensive end Elvis Dumervil and junior running back Kolby Smith met with members of the media on Monday to preview U of L's upcoming regular-season finale at BIG EAST foe Connecticut. The Cards and Huskies will meet on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. ET at Rentschler Stadium and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
Following the UConn game, U of L will have nearly a month to prepare for the 2006 Toyota Gator Bowl set for Jan. 2 at Alltell Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. The Cards will meet an opponent from the Atlantic Coast Conference at 12:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised by NBC.
Cards Ranked 16th, 17th in the Nation: U of L enters this week's game against Connecticut ranked 16th in the latest AP Poll and ranked 17th in the USA Today Coaches Poll and Harris Interactive Poll.
