Cardinal Spring Game Festival Set For Friday

The University of Louisville Red-White Spring Football game will be more than just a game this Friday night at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Live music, merchandise, a Fan Zone and food will highlight the final day of spring football.
Kickoff at PJCS will be at 7:30 p.m. The first half will be played like a regular contest, while the second half clock will run continuously. The Red team will be made up of first team offense and defense players, while the White squad consists of second and third team members.
"We're very excited about the festivities that we have surrounding this spring game this year," said head coach Bobby Petrino. "Last season we had the largest crowd we ever had her at Louisville, and this season we want to pack the place and start a spring game tradition."
Gates open at 3:00 p.m. and the Muckrackers will kickoff the day's events with a pre-game concert outside of Gate 3, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Concession stands and the Pig Roast will also start at 4:00 p.m.
The nationally-acclaimed U of L cheerleaders and Ladybirds will entertain the crowd prior to kickoff. At halftime, the 2003 U of L senior class will be presented their jerseys from former Cardinal and NFL greats, and coaches awards are also scheduled to be presented.
A half-hour autograph session is scheduled for after the game. Fans are encouraged to come down to the field and get autograph from all the Cardinal players and coaches.
A post-game concert with Breckinridge will also start after the game and will play to 11:30 p.m.
Admission is free and fans are encouraged to get there early and enjoy the all of the festivities.
