
Dean Named Conference USA Player of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - U of L junior guard Taquan Dean was named Conference USA Player of the Week for games ending Nov. 28.
Dean averaged 19.7 points, three rebounds and and shot 57.1 percent from the field in leading the Cardinals to two victories in three games of the EA Sports Maui Invitational. A member of the five-man all-tournament team for the event, he hit 9-of-19 three point goals with just two turnovers in the three games. His top effort of the tournament came against Stanford when he poured in 30 points (the second highest total of his career) and added six rebounds, three assists and three steals without a turnover.
Currently the third-leading scorer in Conference USA (19.2 ppg), Dean needs just three three-point goals to move up to fifth in career three-point goals at Louisville (145 currently).
