Ustymenko Named C-USA Co-Player of the Week

In a tight competition for conference honors this week, Louisville's Lena Ustymenko and Myanna Hellsten of Cincinnati came out on top to share this week's Conference USA Volleyball Player of the Week.
Ustymenko, a 6-4 outside hitter from Kiev, Ukraine, helped extend the Cards' win streak to 12 as she posted her 18th straight-match in double-digit kills (17 kills) in a 3-0 sweep over Southern Miss on Saturday night. Against Tulane, Ustymenko tallied 11 kills and 10 digs for her sixth double-double of the season. The middle blocker did not post one single hitting error in Louisville's match against the Green Wave. With the help of Ustymenko, the U of L has swept all but one of its C-USA opponents.
