Louisville Notes

The Cardinals 4-0 start is the seventh in school history and the first since 1993. Head coach Bobby Petrino becomes just the second coach in school history to start his first year at 4-0 (Tom King in 1925 was the other).
WR J.R. Russell extended his reception streak to a team-best 15 straight games. His 55-yard TD reception was the longest of his career.
The Cardinals scored 14 first-quarter points for the third time in four games. U of L has outscored the opposition, 52-17 in the first stanza.
Two of Louisville's three scoring drives went for over 80 yards. The Cardinals have 10 scoring drives over 75 yards this season.
Temple's 53 rushing yards were the fewest on the ground by a Cardinal opponent since East Carolina netted 68 rushing yards against U of L last season (10/26/02).
QB Stefan LeFors was 5-of-7 for 100 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game with an injury in the first quarter.

Temple Notes

QB Mike McGann moved into third place on Temple's all-time passing list, amassing 3,976 yards to date. He became just the third Temple quarterback ever to throw for over 300 yards in back-to-back games, a feat also accomplished by Henry Burris in the 1994 season.
WR Ikey Chuku recorded career highs in receptions and yardage (seven catches, 103 yards).
