
Calderon Named C-USA Softball Hitter of the Week

University of Louisville softball player Keola Calderon was named Conference USA Hitter of the Week on April 7.
The senior utility player from Orcutt, Calif., helped the Cardinals to a 3-1 record on the week by hitting .538 (7-for-13) with two doubles, one home run and five RBI. She recorded her first career grand slam, leading U of L to an 11-2 win over C-USA opponent UAB. Calderon posted at least two hits in all three UAB games while notching a .923 slugging percentage and .538 on base percentage. She is currently batting .326 on the season and .442 in league play.
Louisville (17-14, 8-3) will play Indiana in a single game on Wednesday, April 9 at 4 p.m. at Ulmer Stadium. The Cardinals return to conference action when they play host to Saint Louis in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m.
