San Diego, Calif. - The University of Louisville's men's golf team is tied for eighth place after the first round of the Barona Collegiate Cup in San Diego, Calif.
The Cardinals fired a 288 on the first day, which is 15 shots behind Colorado State, who leads with 273.
Junior Brett Jones and freshman Mark Conlon are tied for 12th-place after firing 69 during the first day of play.
Sophomore Brett Holmes is tied for 48th overall after shooting 74.
The second round did not get finished on Monday due to darkness and will be completed with the third and final round on Tuesday at Barona Creek Golf Club.
