Cardinals Officially Begin 2002 Campaign with Media Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville football team officially kicked off its 2002 campaign Saturday as it hosted its annual media day at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The Cardinals, ranked 17th in the USA Today/ESPN preseason coaches' poll, will be looking to defend their back-to-back Conference USA championships.
U of L will practice twice a day through August 24 when they will begin preparations for its season opener on Sept. 1. The Cards will play host to Kentucky at Papa John's Cardinals Stadium. The ESPN2-televised game will begin at 6 p.m. ET.
