Louisville Notes
- J.T. Haskin's first-quarter punt block was the Cards' nation-leading eighth on the season. Haskins is the fifth U of L player to block a punt this season and the Cards have now blocked a punt in six consecutive games.
- Broderick Clark's 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was his second on the season. He returned the opening kickoff of the second half against Kentucky 100 yards for a score in the season-opener. Clark ranked No. 2 in Conference USA and No. 6 nationally heading into the game with a 29.1 yard kickoff return average.
- With 58 punt return yards, Damien Dorsey became the U of L single season record holder with 383 return yards on the season. He surpassed Joey Smith's 382-yard performance during the 1990 season.
- Senior strong safety Curry Burns was not in the starting lineup for the first time in 33 games. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Jon Gannon, who was making his first career start.
- Henry Miller's first-quarter, four-yard touchdown run was his 12th on the season, moving him into a tie for eighth-place with Howard Stevens (1971) on the U of L single season list. He has now rushed for a score in eight straight games.
- The 52 yards of total offense by Cincinnati was the second-lowest halftime total by a U of L opponent this season. The Cards held Army to 26 yards in the third game of the season.
- The Cardinals had their poorest offensive yardage output of the season, gaining 176 yards in total offense (previous low: 248 yards vs. Kentucky).
- QB Dave Ragone had his lowest passing output of his career, throwing for 91 yards. His previous low was 93 yards in a 28-25 loss to East Carolina on Oct. 9, 2000 (he was 8-of-17 for 93 yards, three interceptions, one TD in that game).
