Louisville Notes
- The Cards rushed for a season-high 205 yards. With 150 yards rushing in the first half, U of L topped its totals in seven games this season. Both T.J. Patterson and Lionel Gates eclipsed their season-highs midway through the second quarter.
- With 231 yards of total offense in the first half, U of L topped the game totals in its previous two games - Cincinnati (176) and UAB (223).
- With 30 kickoff return yards, Broderick Clark moved into second-place on the U of L and second-place on the Conference USA single season charts. His 796 kickoff return yards this season is the fourth-best single-season effort at U of L.
- With 47 punt return yards, Damien Dorsey moved within 69 yards of the Conference USA single season record for punt returns held by Cincinnati's Tinker Keck (1997).
- With three interceptions U of L QB Dave Ragone threw multiple interceptions for just the sixth time in 35 career starts. It also marked the first time in three games that he has been picked off.
- T.J. Patterson rushed for a U of L season-high 135 yards and became just the second Cardinal to top the century mark on the ground this season.
- Tone' Slatter's third-quarter touchdown reception was the first score of his career and his first reception of the season. He now has two receptions for his career.
- Curry Burns' third-quarter punt block was the Cards' nation-leading ninth on the season. Burns is now tied with Brandon Johnson for the team and national lead with three blocked punts on the year.
- Nate Smith's 52-yard field goal tied three players for the longest field goal in school history and four players for the second-longest in Conference USA history. It was the longest in the league this season and the longest at U of L since Klaus Wilmsmeyer booted a 52-yarder at Virginia in 1989.
- With five extra points and two field goals, Nate Smith moved into eighth-place on the U of L career scoring charts (178 career points)
- Kerry Rhodes' third-quarter interception was his first on the season and second of his career. Curry Burns' third quarter interception was his second this season and seventh of his career.
- With three touchdown passes, Dave Ragone moved into a tied for third place on the Conference USA touchdown responsibility charts with 81(shared by East Carolina's David Garrard). He completed 21-of-33 passes for 207 yards for the game.
