Tickets on Sale for Cards' Matinee Madness

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Tickets to the University of Louisville's "Matinee Madness," a fan event surrounding the Cardinals' initial men's basketball practice session of the 2002-03 season on Oct. 12 are on sale now through the U of L Athletic Ticket Office.
Tickets, priced at $5, are available to the public at the U of L Ticket Office located near Gate 2 of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium adjacent to Floyd Street. Tickets for U of L students are free. For further information, contact the U of L ticket office at (502) 852-5151.
U of L will stage its "Matinee Madness," at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Doors open to the basketball arena in Hall 2C of the Convention Center at 1:30 p.m. Fan participation contests, special appearances by former players, video presentations and other entertainment will precede the practice session, which begins at 2:30 p.m.
Prior to that event is the annual Basketball Tipoff Luncheon featuring U of L Coach Rick Pitino. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the event beginning at noon in Hall 2D of the Convention Center. Tickets to the event are $25 each or $200 for a table of eight. To purchase tickets, contact the U of L Athletics Special Event office at (502) 852-1974.
