- Sophomore RB T.J. Patterson rushed for a career-high 114 yards on 15 carries. He added two touchdowns, a figure he matched last week at Kentucky.

- Deion Branch's 61-yard punt return for a touchdown was the first by a Cardinal since 1997 when Arnold Jackson took one back 86 yards against Illinois. The 61-yard return also breaks Jackson's Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium record of 60 yards set on Oct. 2, 1999 against Eastern Michigan.

- WR Zek Parker's 47-yard catch from QB Dave Ragone was his third play of 40 or more yards this season.

- WR Deion Branch's eight catches for 93 yards marked the 13th time in his 15 game career that he has caught five or more passes.

- QB Dave Ragone (14 of 23 passes, 218 yards) missed throwing for a TD for only the second time in his 15 games as a starter.

- In shutting out Western Carolina in the second half, U of L maintained its second-half dominance this season with a collective 62-3 margin in three games this season. The U of L defense has allowed just one touchdown and a field goal over the last 10 quarters.
