No. 25 Cardinals Set to Take On Fighting Illini

LOUISVILLE, KY -- Towing a seven-game regular season winning streak, the Louisville Cardinals hit the road for a stern test in Champaign, Ill. U of L will lock horns with fellow unbeaten Illinois in a matchup between Conference USA and the Big Ten.
Louisville is coming off a 31-7 home victory over Division I-AA Western Carolina while the Fighting Illini scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to knock off a pesky Northern Illinois squad.
The two teams have met four times overall with each team getting a pair of victories. The last time the two schools collided, the Illini travelled to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and came away with a 41-36 thriller in 1999.
