LOUISVILLE, KY -- With the Cardinals' Aug. 23 season opener less than one week away, the University of Louisville announced minor changes in the parking and traffic patterns for 2001 home football games.
Traffic along Floyd Street and Central Avenue will now be two-way, all-access after two seasons of one-way, limited-access movement. However, fans holding green lot parking passes are still advised to use the Crittenden Drive exits off I-264 to access Floyd Street while yellow lot patrons are recommended to reach their parking facilities via the Arthur Street exit off I-65.
For U of L's home opener with New Mexico State, fans who normally use the Kentucky Fair and Exposition lots as strongly advised to park west of PJCS due to the on-going Kentucky State Fair. Surface streets west of PJCS will be open for parking while Churchill Downs will generously provide free parking for the Cards' first game. Fans using Churchill Downs are urged to access the parking lots via the Third Street exit off I-264
