Softball Players Earn League Honors

Six University of Louisville softball players were named to the Conference USA All-Conference teams. Sophomore infielder Melissa Jacobo (Whittier, Calif.) and outfielder Keola Calderon (Orcutt, Calif.) were named to the first team, while sophomore second baseman Nicole Sparks (Chino, Calif.), senior outfielders Coleen Coughlin (Glendale, Ariz.) and Candi Padilla (Glendale, Ariz.) and senior pitcher Tara McClure (Batavia, Iowa) earned second team honors.
Louisville finished the regular season with a 37-24 record (12-9 C-USA) and entered the conference tournament as a No. 4 seed.
