Louisville Head Coach Rick Pitino
"By far it was our smartest game of the season. They (Milwaukee) have been turning everybody over and we played smart against their pressure. We took high percentage shots in the first half and they are a very gutty team. We also did an excellent job of stopping the three-point shot in the first half."
(Brandon) "Bender did some really smart things tonight and that's going to give us some help. We have a very talented freshman class. Carlos (Hurt) is not fast but quick. He dribbles too high. He's got to be ball quick and that's something he has to learn but his defense improved tonight.
(on Ellis Myles) "Outside of running to the bathroom during the game, a missed layup cramp and outside of a fever, he had a good night. We have to check out what he eats or we have to get one of those port-a-potties at the court."
(on the short turnaround) "We're prepared to play either team with scouting and tape. I have no clue who is going to win this game. The good thing about it is it's the same (situation) for everyone."
Wisconsin-Milwaukee Head Coach Bruce Pearl
"During the course of the season there are certain games on your schedule you highlight and the kids look forward to playing. I know Wisconsin-Milwaukee is not one of those teams for Louisville but Pitino did a good job with his players tonight. We played better before tonight but Louisville had a lot to do with it."
"I was pleased that we hung in there on the boards. We had given up 28 offensive rebounds in one game this year and we did a good job in not giving them that many offensive rebounds."
