LOUISVILLE, KY - Winners of their last seven Conference USA games dating back to last year, the University of Louisville Cardinals (7-1 overall, 3-0 in C-USA) again take their show on the road as they travel to New Orleans to face the Tulane Green Wave (2-7 overall, 1-4 C-USA) Saturday afternoon. A victory over the Green Wave would give head coach John L. Smith his 100th career win.
Last Saturday at Cincinnati, Louisville turned in a not-so-pretty performance for the third straight week but again managed to come away with a win as the Cards joined East Carolina as the only two remaining unbeatens in league play.
In last year's matchup between these two teams, QB Dave Ragone passed for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Cardinals came back from a five-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat Tulane 35-32 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Tulane enters Saturday's contest having lost two straight and three of its last four games. The Green Wave average a robust 32.1 points per contest, but are giving up an average of 39.6 points.
