C-USA Announces Preliminary Football Television Schedule

CHICAGO - The University of Louisville will appear at least twice on national television, according to the preliminary Conference USA 2000 football television schedule released today.
"Having this kind of television exposure is instrumental to the continued growth of our programs as Conference USA begins its fifth season. We are extremely pleased that so many fans throughout the country will have the opportunity to watch Conference USA football," said Commissioner Mike Slive.
An ESPN2 audience will watch on September 23 as the Cardinals travel to Tallahassee, Fla. to take on the defending national champion Florida State Seminoles. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET at Doak Campbell Stadium.
For the second consecutive season, U of L will compete on a Thursday night with preseason Top 25 choice East Carolina visiting Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Oct. 19.
The U of L / ECU matchup will be televised by Fox Sports Net beginning at 6:30 p.m. Kickoff was previously announced as 8:00 p.m.
A total of 14 C-USA football games will be televised on Fox Sports Net, of which seven games were announced today. The remaining seven games will be announced no later than 12 days prior to the scheduled game day.
