
Volleyball Draws Michigan in NCAA First Round Match

The Cardinals play 8 p.m. ET Thursday, November 30 in Bear Down Gymnasium on the campus of the University of Arizona. The winner will take on the winner of the Arizona versus Alabama A&M match on Friday, Dec. 1 at 9 p.m.
Louisville, 26-7, will be making its 11th NCAA Tournament appearance and ninth in the last ten years. The Cardinals advanced to the Sweet 16 in 1996 and 1998. Last season, Louisville suffered a 3-0 loss to No. 19 Kansas State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Louisville earned C-USA's automatic bid to the NCAAs after capturing the Healthy Choice Conference USA Tournament and takes a six-match winning streak into its first round showdown. The Cardinals have won 19 of their last 20 matches.
Michigan, 18-13, earned an at large bid and has made two previous appearances in the NCAA tournament, the last being in 1999. The Wolverines are 2-2 in the NCAAs.
