LOUISVILLE, KY - The University of Louisville's season opening men's basketball game at Hawaii on Friday will be televised live on WDRB-TV.
Tipoff time has been moved to 8 p.m. Hawaii Time (Nov. 18, 1 a.m. EST) to accomodate a local telecast on KFVE-TV in Hawaii. The game, which will be originated by KFVE, will also be rebroadcast on WFTE in Louisville (Channel 58) at noon on Saturday.
"We're glad that this new development will allow our our fans to view our opening men's basketball game," said U of L Director of Athletics Tom Jurich. "(President/GM) John Dorkin and WDRB/WFTE continue to be great partners in providing as much coverage as possible for our athletic program. Certainly there is a lot of interest with this as the first game of the season."
With four letterman and starting guards Marques Maybin and Reece Gaines returning, the youthful Cardinals will face Hawaii in U of L's earliest season opener ever. The Rainbows return three starters from their 17-12 squad from last season.
