
Ragone Earns C-USA Weekly Football Award

LOUISVILLE, KY -- University of Louisville sophomore quarterback Dave Ragone has been named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week following his standout performance Oct. 7 as the Cardinals dropped league foe UAB, 38-17.
A native of Middleburg Heights, Ohio, Ragone completed 21 of 29 throws for 227 yards and four touchdowns as U of L improved its record to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in C-USA with the road victory.
On the season, Ragone is completing 63.9 percent of his passes (99 of 155) for 1120 yards and 13 touchdowns in five games. He has been intercepted just four times and is the nation's No. 13 passer with 147.08 efficiency points.
Ragone is the second Cardinal to earn the award this season joining running back Tony Stallings who captured the honor following a 144-yard performance in Week One.
U of L looks to run its winning streak to three this week as Cincinnati visits Papa John's Cardinal Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. ET Homecoming contest.
