
Cross Country Finishes Eighth in the Vanderbilt Invite

Nashville, Tenn. - The University of Louisville women's cross country team finished eighth out of 23 teams in the Vanderbilt Invite. Host Vanderbilt won the invite with a total of 80 points. The men also finished eighth out of 26 teams. Belmont won the men's race with a total of 38 points.
On the women's side, Alicia Cavender was the top finisher for the Cardinals. She finished 18th with a time of 19:38 in the 5,000 meter race. Kelly Thornton was the next best finisher with a time of 20:19.50.
On the men's side, Mark Biros was the top finisher with a time of 27:13 in the 8,000 meter run. Dustin Perkins was the next best finisher with a time of 27:42.
