Louisville Notes
- DT Donovan Arp gathered his first career interception, helping to preserve the Cardinals' victory.
- WR Arnold Jackson's two TD catches gives him 31 in his career, two shy of the school and C-USA record of 33 held by former Cardinal TE Ibn Green.
- In his first extended action, RB T.J. Paterson scored his first career touchdown (11 carries, 48 yards).
- With eight catches for 86 yards today, WR Arnold Jackson moved into third in all-time Division IA receptions (47 catches this season for 455 yards). His 284 career catches moves him within 14 of tying Nevada's Trevor Insley's NCAA Division IA mark of 298 career receptions. Jackson caught a school and Conference USA record 101 passes in 1999.
- WR Arnold Jackson caught a pass in his 43rd consecutive game today, the second-longest active streak in the nation. He has caught five or more passes in 30 of his last 32 contests.
- WR Zek Parker had a career-high seven receptions for 77 yards. His 72 and 78 yard kickoff returns in the first and third quarter, respectively, marked the sixth and seventh 60+ yard kickoff returns of his career.
- P Chris Sivori's 63-yard punt in the first quarter was a career long. He had his first career rushing attempt (3 yards) on a successful fake punt in the fourth quarter.
- U of L honored the jersey of former Cardinal offensive lineman Bruce Armstrong, a four-year letterman for the Cards from 1983-86 and currently a seven-time NFL All-Pro tackle for the New England Patriots. Armstrong was the 23rd pick in the first round of the 1987 NFL draft of the Patriots, his team since then. He has started the last 110 consecutive games for the Patriots and 204 of a possible 212 non-strike games in his career.
- The safety Tulane recorded against Louisville was the first against the Cardinals since Nov. 8, 1997 when Cincinnati accomplished the two-point play.
- Tulane's 43 completions and 72 passing attempts were records for a Cardinal opponent. The 72 passing attempts also marked a Conference USA record, breaking the previous record of 67 held by Louisville against Cincinnati on Nov. 8, 1997.
