Louisville Notes
- QB Dave Ragone threw for a career-high 326 yards, his first 300+ passing game. He completed 25 of 31 passes with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
- QB Dave Ragone's 69-yard completion to WR Deion Branch which set up Louisville's third quarter touchdown was the Cardinals' longest pass play of the season and the longest allowed by Cincinnati this year.
- WR Deion Branch gained a career-best 194 yards on eight catches, his third 100+ yard receiving game of the season. It is the most yardage gained by a U of L receiver since Arnold Jackson gained 194 yards on 11 catches against Illinois last season (9/18/99). Branch had nine catches for 123 yards against Kentucky in the season opener and nine catches for 116 yards vs. Connecticut.
- With nine catches -- a season high -- for 58 yards today, WR Arnold Jackson moved into fourth in all-time Division IA receptions (27 catches this season for 276 yards). His 273 career catches moves him within 25 of tying Nevada's Trevor Insley's NCAA Division IA mark of 298 career receptions. Jackson caught a school and Conference USA record 101 passes in 1999.
- WR Arnold Jackson caught a pass in his 41st consecutive game tonight, the second-longest active streak in the nation. He has caught five or more passes in 28 of his last 30 contests.
- RB Tony Stallings (32 rushes, 122 yards) produced his best rushing output since gaining 144 yards on 15 carries against Kentucky in the season opener. He also caught his first career TD pass (21 yards).
- Louisville's defense limited Cincinnati, which entered the game as Conference USA's top rushing unit averaging 166.2 yards on the ground per game, to 108 yards on 34 rushing attempts. The Cardinals held Cincinnati 144 yards under their total offensive average of 394 yards (entering the game). The Bearcats totaled 81 yards in second half offense.
