Bio
2016: DeJong had a season-high 10 kills in the five-set win over Lipscomb as well as finishing with four block assists and three digs. She recorded six block assists twice this season against Wisconsin and Miami. Maggie finished the year with 73 assists, 44 block assists, 22 digs, and one ace. In Maggie’s junior campaign, she was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the second time. Maggie also represents volleyball as a SAAC member.

2015: Maggie played in 113 sets at middle blocker for the Cardinals. She had 103 blocks, second on the team, averaging .91 per set. She had 191 kills and hit .267. She recorded 4 aces and had 36 digs. She had double digit kills in six matches, including 10 versus both Minnesota and Kentucky. She was a member of the ACC Honor Roll and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2014: Maggie’s freshman year saw her receive the starting nod in 26 matches and earn recognition on the ACC All-Freshmen Team.  Her strong work in the classroom earned her ACC All-Academic honors. She was named ACC Freshman of the Week honors in her first week as a Cardinal. She was fifth on the team with 140 kills (1.52/set) and third with 74 blocks (0.80/set). She finished the season with a career-high 16 kills versus Virginia and totaled seven blocks versus Virginia and Notre Dame, she also notched two service aces against Stephen F. Austin.

Prep: DeJong came to Louisville from Roosevelt High School where she played for Holly Lynch and for her club, the Sioux Falls Kairos Elite, where she was coached by Mitch Lunning. DeJong led her AAU team to a fifth place finish in the 2013 AAU Nationals. She was named an Under Armour All-American, Maxpreps All-American and was selected as a Prep Volleyball Senior Ace. Surpassing her 1000th career kill, she was named KDLT's Athlete of the Week. In both 2012-13 and 2013-14, she was the South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year. She led Roosevelt to the State Tournament Championship in 2012 and runners-up in 2013. She led the Rough Riders to a 24-5 record and the Class AA state title as a junior. A three-time Class AA First Team All-State selection, she concluded her prep volleyball career with 1,262 kills, 693 digs and 374 blocks. A Class AA first team All-State selection, she notched 46 kills, 37 digs and 12 blocks in the Class AA state tournament, earning a spot on the All-Tournament team. In 2011-12, her team was state runners up and she was named first team All-City and All-State as well as being named to the Second Team All-State Tournament.
