Bio
2016: In her first year as starting setter, Eakin had led the team in assists with 750 in 23 matches, giving her an average of 8.72 assists per set. She captured a career-high 58 assists against Syracuse. In the season opener versus Oakland, Kali finished with 50 assists, a career-high 15 digs, two aces, and one kill. Kali finished the season with 137 digs, 22 kills, 14 aces, 11 block assists, and five solo blocks. She was also named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
2015: In her first year as a Cardinal, Kali played in nine sets with 25 assists, three digs and a block. She had a season-high seven assists against Boston College and two digs against Seton Hall. She was a member of the ACC Honor Roll and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
2014 (At Kansas State)
Did not play (redshirt) but was named Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Fall 2014).
Prep: Kali was named 2013-14 Gatorade Kansas Volleyball Player of the Year and was a 2013-14 First Team Under Armour All-American as well as 2013 Kansas Volleyball Association(KVA) 4-1A Player of the Year. In 2013, she was Eastern Kansas League Player of the Year. A three-time First Team All-State selection, she made the 2014 The Kansas City Star All-Metro First Team. She was ranked No. 27 nationally in the Class of 2014 by PrepVolleyball.com and one of 53 finalists for the 2014 PrepVolleyball.com Andi Collins Award, which recognizes the best senior setter in the nation. Named to Volleyball Magazine's 2014 Girls' Fab 50, Eaken was the fourth Gatorade Kansas Volleyball Player of the Year from Bishop Miege High. She led Bishop Miege to a 34-10 record and Class 4A Division I state title as a senior in 2013, amassing 1,128 assists, 281 digs, 168 kills, 43 blocks, and 39 aces along the way. Eaken was named MaxPreps/AVCA Kansas High School Player of the Week after averaging 15.5 assists per set, 2.25 kills per set, and 2 digs per set while helping her team hit .452. She played for KC POWER for Coaches Mike and Danielle Stowell.
