Bio
2017: Jasmine earned a starting role with the Cards at middle and played in every set of every match and earned All-ACC Second Team honors. She had 235 kills and hit .329 and notched 9 aces and 39 digs. She had 11 block solos and 87 block assists. She had a season high 15 kills against both Notre Dame and North Carolina and tied a career high with 10 blocks versus Virginia Tech. She had 18 matches of +.300 hitting with seven matches of +.500 hitting. Bennett is outstanding in the classroom as well. She is a Red & Black Scholar, made Academic All-ACC, the ACC Honor Roll and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
2016: In her sophomore campaign, Jasmine was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the second time. Bennett recorded back-to-back career-high performances when she finished with 14 kills against Boston College and Syracuse while also tallying six block assists on the road swing. Versus Lipscomb, she compiled a career-high 10 block assists as well as recording nine kills. Jasmine finished with 199 kills and averaging 1.99 kills per set, 78 block assists, 13 digs, four solo blocks, one assist, and one ace.
2015: Jasmine played in 15 sets last season and recorded 15 kills, hitting .414. She also had six blocks. She had a season high seven kills against Cincinnati with five blocks against the Bed nine aces. She had 39earcats. She was a member of the ACC Honor Roll and the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Prep: Jasmine Bennett was the 2014 Region 1 Kentucky Player of the Year and came to Louisville from McCracken County High School in Paducah, where she was a four-time All-Region and All-District member under head coach Tim Whitis. While at McCracken County High, she was named to the KVCA First-Team All-State Class AA team three times and was named to the KHSAA All-Tournament team in 2012 and 2013. Jasmine was named to the BSN Nike Crossroads All-Tournament team in 2013 and was a three-time Academic All-State selection. Her club volleyball team placed third at Orlando Nationals and she was a Top 100 Senior Ace.
