- Played briefly against Hartford for his first collegiate action. He played two minutes at USF and one minute vs. Oklahoma.
- One of two Kentucky products on the U of L roster along with Preston Knowles.
High School:
- Averaged 19.9 points and 8.6 rebounds a game as a senior at St. Xavier High School for Coach Joe Bergamini in Louisville. He connected on 32 percent from three-point range as a senior and 48 percent overall from the field.
- Earned first-team All-Seventh Region Honors and all-district honors as a senior.
- Scored 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a season-ending 68-65 loss to Manual in the district semifinals. St. Xavier completed its season with a 9-17 record.
- Early in his high school career, he ranked among the top scorers ever at the junior varsity level at St. Xavier.
- Earned Honor Roll status at St. Xavier.
- Chose to concentrate on basketball in high school over swimming, a sport in which he won state titles at the AAU level prior to high school, including the 100M butterfly event.
