Averaged 9.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots as a senior in helping Norcross post a 26-6 record as the runner-up in the Georgia Class 7A state championship. He scored 13 points in the state title game.
A first-team All-Region 7 selection as a junior and senior, a second team Atlanta Tipoff Club All-Metro Atlanta choice and an all-county pick.
Thomas was ranked No. 117 in the national composite by 247Sports.com, No. 142 for Rivals.com and as the 21st-best power forward in the nation by Scout.com.
Averaged 8.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.7 blocked shots as a junior last season in helping his Norcross High School team to a 26-4 record and the Georgia Class AAAAAAA Sweet 16 before falling to eventual state champion Westlake. Norcross won 13 straight at one point and 20 of 21 games before the playoffs.
As a sophomore in 2014-15, Thomas helped Norcross achieve a 27-4 record, a Region 8 championship and the Class AAAAAA Georgia state quarterfinals.
Averaged 9.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and shot 48.7 percent from the field for his Team United AAU team in the summer of 2016. He competed in the National Basketball Players Association Top 100 High School Basketball Camp last summer.
Had five points and five rebounds in the 2017 Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic all-star game.
Had narrowed his collegiate choices to Florida, USC and Miami (Fla.) before signing with the Cardinals.
