Freshman Year in 2022-23
• Appeared in 16 games, totaling 14 points and 10 rebounds in 4.2 minutes per contest
• Scored career-high five points with his first made field goals against Maryland on Nov. 29
• Scored his first two career points and blocked two shots against Texas Tech on Nov. 22
High School
• Played the 2021-22 season at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., where he averaged 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and shot 44 percent from three-point range on a balanced squad with multiple college-bound talent. Oak Hill posted a 32-8 record and was ranked ninth nationally in the final 2022 USA Today Sports Super 25 high school basketball rankings.
• Totaled a team-high 17 points, four rebounds and three assists against Link Academy in the final game of the season, the last for 37-year Oak Hill head coach Steve Smith. Ree's Oak Hill team also included three future Cardinal foes in Christian Reeves (Duke), Caleb Foster (Duke commitment, not signed) and Chris Livingston (Kentucky).
• Ranked as the No. 78 player in the nation in the 2022 ESPN 100, No. 82 in the 247Sports Composite rankings, and No. 123 by Rivals.com. He was the top-ranked player in the state of Mississippi.
• As a junior in 2020-21, Ree was a first team all-state selection at Terry (Miss.) High School, where he averaged 23.2 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots and two steals. He helped his team achieve a 10-6 record and reach the second round of the Mississippi 6A Playoffs, playing limited games due to COVID issues.
• Played for We All Can Go on the adidas Gauntlet circuit in the summer of 2021. Ree was also a member of the Virginia Gold team that won the 2021 GEICO Top Flight Invitational title, where he scored 20 points against Prolific Prep in the semifinals, burying all five of his three-point attempts in the game.
• After initially signing with LSU last November, Ree also considered Auburn, Georgia and Jackson State before signing with the Cardinals.

• Born March 11, 2004 ... Son of Teresa and Tyrone Ree ... Has two siblings: Kendrick and Kelsey... Major is business.
• Personal goal at UofL is to get all A’s.
• Chose to attend UofL because it felt like home, and because the coaches treated him like their own child.
• Enjoys playing video games in his spare time.
• The basketball player he most admires is Kevin Durant.
• Best moment of his athletic career was being ranked on ESPN.
• Few people know this, but he loves chicken.
• If you walked into his dorm room, the first thing you would notice is pictures of him and his family.
