Steven Verplancken is in his first season with Louisville men's basketball as a graduate manager for the 2026-27 season.

Verplancken joins the staff after playing basketball internationally fro teh last two years. He has played in the Domincan Republic, France, Spain and Iceland, in addition to representing his country with the Dominican Republic Men's National Team in the FIBA AmeriCup in 2025.

Verplancken scored over 1,700 points over his college career across three NCAA programs. He made 288 three-pointers across his college career as well. He spent two seasons at Weber State, starting in 65 contests. He averaged 13. points per game and shot 41.7% from the arc in 2022-23. He averaged 12.1 points per game and totaled 71 3's in the 2023-24 season. He also averaged 16.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as a freshman at Glenville State.

Verplancken was selected as 1 of 20 college players to attend Damian Lillard's Formula Zero Elite Camp. He was a two-time All-Big Sky Conference selection at Weber State and was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Academic team in his lone season at Southern Illinois.

He graduated from Weber State in 2024 with his bachelor's in business administration. Originally born in San Pedro De Macoris, Dominican Republic, he was raised in Oostende, Belgium, leading him to speak four languages: Spanish, English, Dutch and French.
