Louisville Faces its First ACC Road Test

Both No. 20Â NC State and No. 4 Wake Forest are 4-0 to start conference play
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After hosting the first two weekends of conference play at home, the University of Louisville men's tennis team is hitting the road to face No. 20 NC State at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13 and No. 4 Wake Forest at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.
Louisville (14-5, 3-1 ACC) is off to its best start since the 2021-22 season when the team went 19-9. With only four Atlantic Coast Conference matches played, the Cards have surpassed last year's conference win total and tied the 2023-2024 ACC win total, a season that earned them a NCAA tournament berth.Â
UofL is coming off a 2-1 weekend at home. The Cards first faced No. 35 Clemson, dropping the contest 4-0, before sweeping their Sunday doubleheader. The first match of the day was against the Georgia Tech, who the Cards rallied back after dropping the doubles point to win 4-3. The nightcap was against IU Indy who they swept 6-0.Â
The Cards are continuing their climb in the ITA team poll, most recently landing at No. 42. They also have one duo ranked in Walid Ahouda and Hamza El Amine who edged in at No. 90
